Shop balls, pot the balls, earn money, repeat

Cue Room is a rogue-like billiard game, made in just a few days as part of a game jam.
(But you'll soon be able to wishlist it on Steam for a full game release 👀)

  • Purchase new balls with special effect and different worth
  • Pot the balls to unleash chaos with their abilities and earn money
  • Shop new balls again and repeat

Missing a shot or potting the cue ball will make you lose a life. Play smart, think ahead and utilize the balls abilities to their best!

This is a fun game, hope it can become a full game too

This needs to be continued! Would be fun to have runaways in this type of game.

lovely, atomsphere is just right and gameplay is engaging

A little gameplay, a little critique ;)

Played it a few times and had a lot of fun. I really Like the different abilities and the challenges it gives you and how you can use them the best way to get a really high score! I will definitely play it again. Every turn is different to the ones before.

The possibility to buy different things in every turn let you choose different strategies every time. I love it that it’s not that noisy and you can buy the music discs and play them if you want. I really like the Music. Good sounds.

I happily read that it will be getting a full release with some new things on steam later this year. 100% wishlist and buy. Thanks for this very cool game!

Fun game! I love the soundtracks you can buy. They have a bit of a horror vibe. I do wish they were just playing in the background though. Otherwise the game is silent. My only other gripes are the ball physics are a bit jank on bounces, and the economy on the balls is a bit weird.

Any chance you can give me an example of the hanky bounces? I doubt I can do much there cause it's the Unity physics engine that likely causes this but better still checking on it. Also what do you find weird about the economy?

Sometimes bouncing a ball off the rail can produce an odd collision. Besides that, the physics work well enough.

As for the economy, sometimes you will get ball options that aren't worth the money. For example, on several occasions I've seen a basic ball that costs more than it pays out (example: it costs 4C to buy but it only pays out 3C ). Why would I buy that ball when I there are usually options where the ball pays out more than its cost (or includes an effect)?

Hm I see. That should have been in later rounds on theory. Everything gets a bit more expensive over time, purchasing the right balls in the beginning is already a bit important. Balls costing more than they get you can definitely happen, sometimes, with abilities, also in very early rounds. They stay for five rounds so they'll make you money up to five times
